The magnificent Image above is captioned, "The Gates of Heaven will be opened to the Christian soul who has been refined by love." This can never happen except within the Community of Love; we work out our salvation within the image of the Triune God in which we are created.

"That they may be one."

The prayer of Christ to the Father from the Gospel of John is the caption for the Holy Card above.

The dove looks into the Heart of Jesus where all that is real, all that is eternal is contained; the souls of all persons created in the Image of the Triune God exist eternally in the Heart of God, and, in so far as the soul can participate in this Great Love, the doors of heaven open. They open like the Father's arms, like the wings of the Holy Spirit welcoming all to enter into the Heart of Jesus and to become One.

Supported by the Savior's hand, the Dove is shown resting on the olive branch, steadied for flight. Perhaps the artist included this detail to recall Christ's words: "My peace I give to you..."

Imagine the wings of love and peace on which the blessed in heaven fly...
